In the 18th century, feminine pockets were pouches worn around the waist, separate from gowns and petticoats. They could be on their own or in pairs, utilitarian or highly decorated. This kit will enable you to make a popular style: the pieces pocket. Although pieced pockets could be made from any random scraps, this one is an elaborate combination of fabrics, including silk, wool, linen, and cotton. It is bound with petersham ribbon and ties around the waist with a cotton tape.
* Due to the nature of upcycled kits, your fabrics may not be exactly what is shown.
