This special edition "costumer spotlight" kit is compiled using remnants from costumes made by Glynnis Vance (or @shoesfirstthencorset on Instagram).

Fabrics: Warmth abound with individually bound pockets of deep rust and scarlet dupioni, a gorgeous red and gold silk damask and a fun black polka dot. The exterior fabric is a sturdy striped linen in cream, red, and tan while the whole piece is bound in natural cotton tape and rounded out with a black wool needle flap.

The configuration of your kit may vary due to the sizes of the fabric remnants but all will contain the same fabrics.

In the 18th century, the item called a housewife (“hussif”) is one that had multiple uses. It could be a container for small personal items, a wallet, a sewing kit, or a combination of these. This housewife kit is a simple design based off period examples. It has been lovingly assembled in two versions, both containing everything you need to make your own.
