These lovely stockings are based on extant examples from the 18th century including one with the green/yellow coloring in the collection of Colonial Williamsburg. They are “one size fits most” but I have learned that people with larger calves or feet above a US size 9 feel they are a bit snug. If this may be an issue for you, please check out some of our other stockings that come in multiple sizes. Alternatively, the top can be folded down for a more comfortable fit.
Fiber content: 90% Cotton, 8% Nylon, & 2% Lycra

"Clocks" or "clocked" refers to the embroidered or knit patterns seen at the ankle of 18th century stockings.
