
A shift is one thing you cannot be without when portraying an early 19th century lady. They were worn as the layer of clothing closest to the skin, there to protect outer garments from the body.
These shifts feature a drawstring neckline and short sleeves that finish in a tidy hem.

These items are not very fitted, but if you would prefer a shift cut to your measurements, please fill out the custom order form found at the top of the website.
A - up to 36" chest & 11" upper arm
B - up to 44” chest & 14" upper arm
C - up to 52” chest & 17" upper arm
D - up to 60" chest & 20" upper arm
Sleeves: NEW! You may now choose puff sleeves as an option. These will have a small drawstring casing within the hem, allowing the sleeve to function as extra support under later sleeve styles, while also preventing it from slipping out from underneath the gown.
