This special edition "costumer spotlight" kit is compiled using remnants from costumes made by Lauren Marks @markslauren
Fabrics: A luxurious mixture of vibrant silk satins and taffetas are bound in white petersham ribbon and finished with a crimson wool needle book and coordinating silk ribbon. This style features individually bound pockets for a pristine finish.
The configuration of your kit may vary due to the sizes of the fabric remnants but all will contain the same fabrics.
In the 18th century, the item called a housewife (“hussif”) is one that had multiple uses. It could be a container for small personal items, a wallet, a sewing kit, or a combination of these. This housewife kit is a simple design based off period examples. It has been lovingly assembled in two versions, both containing everything you need to make your own.
