In the 18th century, the item called a housewife (“hussif”) is one that had multiple uses. It could be a container for small personal items, a wallet, a sewing kit, or a combination of these. This housewife, a simple design based off period examples, has been carefully stitched by hand.
Protect the light side with Rebel's calming blue, white, and gunmetal silk palette. The individually lined pockets are bound with white petersham while the whole piece is encased in an icy blue cotton sateen and finished with a blue needle book.
The finished sewing roll comes with a full spool of thread, a mini droid wax piece, and a hand made Cherry wood thread winder.
Note: This is a finished product. If you are looking for a housewife kit, please check out the supply kit section of the website.
