In the 18th century, the item called a housewife (“hussif”) is one that had multiple uses. It could be a container for small personal items, a wallet, a sewing kit, or a combination of these. This housewife kit is a simple design based on period examples.

Essentials Kit:
- Instructions
- Pre-cut fabric
- binding/ties

Due to the nature of upcycled kits, the configuration of your pieces may vary, but all kits will contain the same fabrics unless otherwise noted.

Fabrics: Your favorite witchy sisters are all represented in this collection of jewel tones. Deep red Manchester velvet, pink & gold shot silk taffeta*, chartreuse silk satin, green & black shot taffeta, and a magical purple & green silk blend are bound with jet black petersham ribbon. The kit is finished with a gravestone wool needle piece and black silk ribbon.

*In some kits, this piece may be substituted with silk satin in the same colors.
