Fabrics: Come to the dark side with Imperial's shadowy hues in varying textures. Black wool balzarine and broadcloth are paired with inky silk taffeta and satin, accented with a gunmetal shot silk and bright red needle book. The piece has a black wool exterior, is lined with hidden crimson taffeta, and features pockets individually bound with black petersham ribbon.

In the 18th century, the item called a housewife (“hussif”) is one that had multiple uses. It could be a container for small personal items, a wallet, a sewing kit, or a combination of these. This housewife kit is a simple design based on period examples.
