This is one of four special edition kits made in collaboration with Abby Cox using various remnants from her costumes and handmade clothing.

Viewers of Abby's YouTube channel will recognize a lot of these fabrics but just in case you missed one:

Woad Trip - Blue & white comes in all sorts of textures with this kit. It includes sky blue sateen from one of Abby's corsets, two striped blue linens from her kaftan and wrap dress, as well as herringbone wool from an 18th century gown. The blues are accented with a square of her white linen wedding dress fabric and finished with a blue wool needle book. The kit is bound in white cotton tape and finished with a blue silk ribbon.

Harlequin - Bright, jewel tone silks make for a super cheerful piece. Rainbow plaid taffeta from Abby's famous 1830s dress is accented with blue satin, green & purple taffetas, and the gold glazed cotton she uses in most of her linings. This kit features pockets individually lined in cotton and bound in petersham, a green wool needle book, and white silk ribbon.

Madder of Fact - Abby's bright red Belemnite dress and medieval kirtle are the focal point of this kit. It is accented with pale pink linen from some 1930s pajamas, vintage and historical printed cottons, and a rose gold bit of silk from an 1860s ball gown. The kit is bundled in a pink toile fabric, bound in pink petersham, and finished with a white silk ribbon.

Irish Serenity - This relaxed palette is filled with the calm, earthy colors of Abby's desert home. Natural and striped linens are paired with cream herringbone wool, white linen, and mossy green. The kit is finished with a deep blue wool needle book and white cotton tape.

Abby's dogs Tsubasa & Gryff are a huge part of her life, so the complete version of this kit will come with a beeswax paw print.

Due to the nature of upcycled kits, the configuration of your pieces may vary, but all kits will contain the same fabrics.

In the 18th century, the item called a housewife (“hussif”) is one that had multiple uses. It could be a container for small personal items, a wallet, a sewing kit, or a combination of these. This housewife kit is a simple design based off period examples. It has been lovingly assembled in two versions, both containing everything you need to make your own.
